The work of Vicente Dopico does not limit themselves to the molding of reality. On the contrary they incite us to question the apparition that could emerge behind their organic structures. For this he relies on one source: the use of color, especially in his waters colors to create spaces and subspaces which cover different planes with a veil of a hidden and expectant reality. It is important, in this context, to underline the use of color in his work, because , far from fulfilling a mere decorative function, color in his painting, is a catalytic element, an making transparent, the reality which this artist wants to transmit.
This watercolors and inks leave us space to let our imagination run. Every “Oeuvre D’Art” is always this: an invitation to embark on an intense voyage where we encounter new surprises at every moment.
The work of Vicente Dopico-Lerner takes place at a crossroad where the encounter between reality and it’s abstraction seem to search for each other in a continuous play of illusions”. (Mac fine art publishing)
