EXTRA CREDIT ESSAY Vicente Dopico-Lerner was born in Havana, Cuba. He lives in The United States since early sixties. In 1976 he obtained his Master of Science Degree from St. Thomas University. Also this year, he was awarded with The Cintas Fellowship from The institute for International Studies of The United Nations, New York, N.Y. Has taken courses in painting, design, drawing, sculpture, art history, art education from several art schools like: New York Art Student League, New York, N.Y. / Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Fl/ Miami Dade Community College, Miami Fl. And Florida International University, Miami, Fl. His work has been feature at numerous solo and group exhibits around the United States, Europe and The Caribbean. His paintings, water colors and ceramics are in permanent collections at: Museo de Arte Moderno, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/ Casa de las Americas, Havana, Cuba/ Institute for International Studies(Cintas Fellow) United Nations, New York, N.Y./ The Harriet and George D.
